Giovanni is based in Sydney and brings 25 years at the centre of global M&A and private markets. He has direct relationships with private equity investors, lenders, advisors and corporate decision-makers across Europe, the US and Asia-Pacific.

He spent his career with ION Group / Mergermarket, most recently as Chief Data Officer, ION Analytics, leading a 600-person team across 30+ deal intelligence platforms. Earlier, as Global Editorial Director at Mergermarket, he scaled one of the industry’s leading M&A intelligence organisations.

At Transjovan Capital, he helps clients reach the right global investors and acquirers, sharpen their positioning for cross-border transactions, and enter European and Australian markets. He also advises on deal origination and portfolio strategy.

He has commented on M&A for CNBC and Sky News, and is an ICF-accredited executive coach.

He holds a Dottore in Economia from Università degli Studi di Brescia and speaks six languages.
